It Is Inevitable    08/03/22

In the book of Genesis, God told Abraham, “ I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God”-Gen 17:8. If you are in the dark as to what land God was referring—it included the land of present day Israel. And, if you are confused on who the descendants of Abraham are, check out our article entitled, Isaac & Ishmael—Unsolvable Problem (http://biblestudies.org/Documents/Bible_Prophecy/Isaac_and_Ismael.htm). Now, even though the land was given to the descendants of Abraham by God, the Creator of all, God did present a condition to Abraham. That condition was, “Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations”-Gen 17:9.

As most are aware, because of rebellion to God and His ways, the Jews have had centuries of being disdained and mistreated. Centuries of persecution from their enemies, annihilation from regimes—even prior to WW2, Europeans had a negative opinion about Jews. As the importance of religion within European society was slowly replaced by nationalism, (or politically revised into socialism, or communism), negative thoughts still availed toward the Jews. It was not until the after math of WW2 when the United Nations voted, in one day, (just like the Bible said in Isa 66:9), that the idea was dared to be thought—that the Jewish people would not only have a homeland, but maybe that the world had started to accept the Jewish people.

Fast forward to present day. Unfortunately, there are numerous articles regarding antisemitism across the globe. These uprisings have encouraged many Jews to make aliyah to Israel—leave their homeland and relocate to the land of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. As of October of 2021, there has been a 31% increase of Jews moving to Israel from countries around the world. They are coming from the U.S., France, Ukraine, Belarus, Argentina, UK, Brazil, South Africa, Ethiopia, with (presently) fewer coming from Russia. (There have been several massive air lifts of Russian Jews to Israel in previous years. Biblically speaking this is outlined in Isa 11:12.)

But, just because a Jew has reached his homeland, does not mean he is going to have peace. History has shown that throughout Israel's modern day history, most of the surrounding Arab nations have tried to over power the tiny Jewish state. For a recent example, since the U.S. Biden Administration has come to power, there has been a resurgence of rockets that are fired into northern Israel from Syria—not to mention the increased attacks from Gaza. Radical groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas and even the Islamic Republic encourage Islamic Jihad. These leaders often reside in Damascus—bankrolling Islamic gunmen to be housed within the West Bank.

Speaking of enemies within Israel, one need not only look to the radical Islamic—some radical Jews are also problematic for the Israeli government, as they are pro-Palestinian. This can lead to interesting difficulties when the government tries to protect or defend them from the Palestinians.

However, rockets, bullets and knives are not the only tool used by Israel's enemies. Over the past few months, the hacking group who calls themselves, Anonymous Sudan, have attacked Israel's largest cyber-security company—Check Point. Also, many major Israeli university websites have been taken off-line, as well as power outages affecting cities across Israel, including Tel Aviv and Beersheba. Anonymous Sudan have attacked the websites of many news outlets and hospitals, as well as the Israeli Supreme Court, Defense Ministry and the Shin Bet (Israel's organization that provides protection for many of its government officials among other duties). Presently, this organization just sends DDOS attacks to bring down websites; however, it is a concern that in the future they will increase their hacking talents to include the stealing of sensitive state material along with other crucial information.

Who are, Anonymous Sudan? They are considered to be a Russian affiliated hacking group. They do not only attack Israel, they have attacked many foreign governments all over the world. Primarily those with sentiments of being anti-Muslim and who provoke those Muslim regimes—in other words, countries that side with the West are their biggest targets.

But even more deadly for the the tiny state of Israel is not Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon, or Iran. It is not even Hamas or Hezbollah—the biggest threat to the tiny country comes from within—the powder keg of judicial reform. The issue is, should the Israeli government reform its current high judicial system, or should they stay with what they have and try to reign in the present judges. The pros and cons of the reform are not a topic of this blog, we only bring this forth to show the vast and bitter division between some Israeli citizens and their government.

Where does that leave the state of Israel? The Bible says, a house divided can not stand-ref Mk 3:25. The question may be asked, Can the current Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, find a way of peace with Israelis? This seems an appropriate time to point out what the state of Israel will look like after the Rapture (the removal of the Lord's church.) According to Scripture, Israel will build another Temple on the Temple Mount and re-institute Temple sacrifice-Rev 11:1. There needs to be a Jewish Temple so that the Anti-Christ can stopped the Temple sacrifice and claim he is God-ref Dan 9:27. In order to get a Jewish Temple, Israel's government needs to be on board with the idea. Previous governments would not even consider the idea; but with this current, very radical, religious government, the thought is not unthinkable.

Remember, sometime after the Rapture, the Anti-Christ will, confirm the covenant with many (with Israel and others) for one week (seven years): and in the midst of the week (middle) he (Anti-Christ) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation (or offering) to cease (or end), (Note-obviously, this is during the midst of the Tribulation when sacrifices are taking place at the temple), and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate (on the wing of–NAS, the temple), he will set up an abomination that causes desolation - NIV), even until the consummation (or complete destruction), and that determined (or that is decreed) shall be poured upon the desolate (or on him, the Anti-Christ)-Dan 9:27.

In the, Encyclopedia of Bible Prophecy, the author writes, “Dan 9:27 is the seventieth week of Daniel. It is among the most important Bible prophecy verses for us to understand today. It covers the Antichrist coming forth and the confirmation of a treaty that begins the Tribulation. It shows that the Tribulation consists of two parts. It reveals a temple during the Tribulation, an abomination, and the final prophesied end of the Antichrist”.

So what is God's message to His followers? Thus saith the Lord from His Word, “O Israel, if thou return, return unto Me...and if thou put away thine abominations out of My sight, then shalt thou not (be) remove(d)-ref Jer 4:1. It is written, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among the thorns-Jer 4:4. In other words, weed out the impiety and wicked affection and worldly respects out of your heart, that the true seed of God’s Word (by reading the Bible) may be sown therein (in your heart). Don't be like the children of Israel during the days of Jeremiah, whereas it is written, they perverted their way, and forgot the Lord their God-Jer 3:21. If these people would not cry out to God and repent of their sins when God warned them, then the penalty these people suffered was that their enemies would lead them into captive, and then they would learn to cry and lament. Is this you? You still have time to repent of all you sins and turn to God in total obedience.
