What Do The Commonwealth Games of 2022 Have To Do With Bible Prophecy?       9/24/22

Regarding Bible Prophecy, after the Rapture of the Church, the Anti‐Christ is allowed to come forth. Then, according to Daniel 9:27, a covenant with the Anti‐Christ is signed between Israel and many (nations). However, once Israel thinks they are safe, the covenant is broken and Russia, along with other nations will invade Israel. So how close are we to these events? With the Jewish Feast of Trumpets this coming weekend, the true believers in Jesus Christ, who are looking for Christs′ return, wonder if this is the year. We know that according to God′s time table (check out this link ) the Feast of Trumpets is the expected time of the Rapture of the Church—we are just not sure of the year.

Perhaps you are a sports fan and were able to watch the 2022 Commonwealth games. This event is similar to the Olympics. Every four years the Commonwealth games are held in various parts of the old British realm. This years games were held in Birmingham, UK. The opening ceremony was an astonishment to most spectators—some in amazement—others shocked. The first thing one may think is, What does this bull (some call it a beast), have to do with sports?—this is a sporting event. Many Christians noted how this performance was more like a Satanic worship, and they may be correct. One of the musicians, from Birmingham, was none other than guitarist Tony Iommi of the Black Sabbath band. It is interesting to note, that MP′s from the city, are so delighted with the group (Ozzi Osborne and Tony Iommi are both from the city) they not only have a bridge named after the band, but, had recently requested the Queen to honor the band for their contribution to music.

So, what does this have to do with Bible Prophecy? Simple, it starts people accepting how things are going to be. Once the Anti‐Christ, (the Scriptures call him the beast), comes forth, he will be the savior of the world, or so people will be deluded to think. Remember, the masses are given a strong delusion by God because they have not allowed Jesus to reign over them. They want to do things their way—not God's way. So, he allows them to have their own god, a false god. That god is non other than the anointed cherub that fell (ref Ezek 28:13‐15), who was a murderer from the beginning and a liar (ref Jn 8:44). Who disguises himself as an angel of light (ref 2 Cor 11:14)—better known today as the Devil or Satan (ref Rev 12:9)—a roaring lion (ref 1 Pet 5:8).

This is certainly not the first time devil worship has been performed out in the public arena—however, the subject of this performance is interesting at such a time as this. You can watch it for yourself here. There is also an explanation of what you are viewing. Perhaps you saw the opening performance at Birmingham and thought there was nothing wrong with it. It was spectacular! It was only a performance—nothing else. Why make a big deal about it? Be warned, many so called Christians are not ready for the Rapture. They are not striving to enter into heaven‐ref Lk 13:24, 1 Cor 9:24-27, 2 Tim 2:5. Yes, Jesus paid it all—but, He said, If you love Me keep my commandments‐ref Jn 14:15. Jesus spoke parables that taught of people who would not let Jesus rule over them‐ref Luke 19:13‐14. He spoke of the judgment of the nations where there are going to be sheep on the right hand and goats on the left‐ref Mt 25:31‐46. Which side will you be on? It is written, Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity‐Matt 7:21‐23 (KJV). These people, at one time, were saved—you can not cast out devils without the Spirit of God to assist you (check out Acts 19:13‐16). However, because of sin in their life, that they were not willing to let go, they fell along the wayside (click here for the parable to the sower).

It is not too late to repent. However, the clock is ticking. Please consider, have you been putting Christ on the back burner, or, is He the first one you greet in the morning—reading His Word, fellowshipping with Him? Please consider, does Jesus know you?
